What should I do when a company is holding the title to my car?
I buy a car at auction. They gave me a receipt paid in its entirety. This car was bought as is and I live in Indiana. Now, a week after my call to say that the auction house has made a math error when adding the total price of the car. He said the car will carry the title until I pay the balance. I think I owe nothing. Do I win a case, if carried the matter to court?
If you were given a receipt that says "Paid in full" then you have no obligation to pay more money. As above, get a lawyer or some other type of legal advice.
